Welcome to the
1/12th scale section. |

1/12th racing is probably one of the oldest race classes and started off way back in the 1970's.
We introduced the 1/12th championship in 2008. The club races on specialist
racing carpet. Racing consists of, Free Practice, 3 Qualifying rounds to establish
grid positions and 2 final rounds.
Races last for 8 minutes and lap times are comparable to touring cars, so
you get more track time and more overtaking opportunities as the cars are
slightly smaller.

The cars use
foam tires and this gives them amazing levels of grip in the corners, making
them real fun to drive. There are a large number of clubs throughout the UK
and Ireland that run 1:12th scale, and to be racing indoors in the warm and
dry, on a cold winter's day, has to be a major attraction.
What ever your ability, if you want to improve you're driving, this is the
class for you. It's fast, furious, costs less than touring cars and leaves
you grinning from ear to ear.

Brand new competitive
cars start at under £100.00 for a Phantom FTX. Good quality second hand cars
can be had on eBay for as little as £60.00 and usually come with a pile of
spares.
